The Disappearance of Justin Holt

35 year old Justin Holt was last seen in Twin Lake, Michigan on January 3, 2018. He was last seen near Bayne Street and Maple Island Road, but is believed to have been at his residence in Cedar Creek Township after that.

Disappearance

On January 3, 2018, Justin Holt was last seen near Bayne Street and Maple Island Road in Twin Lake, Michigan. He was supposed to get in touch with his brother the following day, but never called.

When his family tried to get in touch with him all calls went straight to voicemail, prompting them to call the police and ask for a welfare check.

A welfare check was conducted at his home, located in the 6000 block of 10th Street in Cedar Creek Township. The back door to his home was unlocked and his truck was parked in the driveway, however Justin was nowhere to be found.

Justin’s coat, shoes, cigarettes, glasses, and vehicle were left behind, but his phone, keys, and wallet were gone.

Drops of Justin’s blood were found in the driveway, but cadaver dogs didn’t detect the scent of human remains.

Investigation

Justin’s phone has been turned off since he went missing, and there’s been no activity on his credit cards. The last ping on his cellphone was near his home on the night he disappeared.

Holt was in the process of trying to get custody of his five children at the time of his disappearance. His ex-wife’s partner had made threats against his life, but was in Louisiana at the tome of his disappearance.

Family members found a set of footprints in the snow leading to Clear Lake, however searches of the area found no additional clues as to his whereabouts.

A search of Crystal Lake, located near Ryerson and Holton Duck Lake roads, using divers and side-scan sonar was also conducted.

Appearance

White male born on August 16, 1982. Justin has blonde hair, blue eyes, stands 6’2 tall, and weighs 200 pounds. He has a tattoo of “Janalee” inside his left forearm and wedding vows tattooed on his right shoulder.

Clothing & Accessories:
Justin was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt that says “Got Perch?” and blue jeans. He always wears a kangol or fedora hat, as well as prescription eyeglasses.
